For episode #7 of the Content Warfare Podcast we are joined by the branding master Craig McBreen, owner of McBreen Design, Inc and author of the awesome eBook… The Art of Breaking Out.
I’ve had Craig pegged to be on the podcast since the day I read his eBook…
…it’s inspirational
…it’s motivational
…it’s basically a manifesto on bringing out your inner awesome.
See Craig’s only been blogging for a year and he’s already a well known thought-leader throughout the marking community. My feeling was the concepts, ideas and advice he lends in The Art of Breaking Out (click the link to get his eBook… it’s FREE) play a huge role in Craig’s rise to the top.
And I wasn’t wrong!
Craig’s success in blogging began when he decided to make “Creating” a dedicated part of his life.
It’s the idea of creating and living a life (both personal and professional) of creation that got me so excited to speak with Craig McBreen and he did not disappoint.
Remember creation destroys The Resistance.
In episode #7 Craig spends some time with Content Warfare Podcast community to answer the following questions:
- Where did The Art of Breaking Out come from?
- Why did you decide to write it as a manifesto?
- How does one “Break Out?”
- What was the ultimate catalyst that powered you to make “Creation” a part of your life?
- What advice do you have for bloggers that struggle to create content?
…and honestly there is so much more we discuss than just these questions.

Just finished listening to Episode #7, and they just keep getting better. This one is especially important to me, because I kind of fell off the blogging bandwagon until last week. I wrote my first post in over a month, and man it felt good to be back. I’m heading to Craig’s website next to check out the ebook manifesto and I’m really excited to read it after your raving review and listening to the conversation you guys had. Thanks for doing what you do.

My pleasure bro thanks for giving me the time and sharing your experience.
Great listen and solid interview. I got the sense that you two could talk about this over a few beers. Maybe you did:) Impressed with the podcasts. Keep it up.

Ryan, solid job on this episode. My favorite few minutes were when you and Craig went off on an unexpected discussion regarding blog post comments. It changed my perspective on one of the more important aspects of communicating within these posts. So I apologize in advance as I start to flood your posts with practice comments!
Keith Laskey wants you to check out… Me, my dad and John Lennon
Agreed, Keith, I totally second this.
And I dont think Ryan or Craig have read it, but I even wrote a 2 part guest post on Logallot.com on How To Leave Praise Worthy Comments
I’m pretty sure they’d love it and recommend it as required reading for “comment practice”
Rock on and ryze up!

I’m glad Ryan brought that up. Before I even had a blog I earned by commenting chops. A fun way to go and it builds anticipation for your blog.
