BlogEngage: Learn, Promote, Exchange

BlogEngage-Header

The number of Social Media “Communities” grows exponentially every day as wanna-be blogging gurus attempt to siphon off some of the high traffic revenue benefits well established Online Communities such as Problogger, BlogCatalog, and Blogged enjoy.  Beware the Community, (or link farm) that does not actively promote interaction, learning, and sharing between members.  Often these sites were built to for ad revenue generation and time spent posting to them is time wasted.

However, there is one new community, BlogEngage, that I am a huge fan of.

From BlogEngage FAQ:

“Blog Engage allows you to submit your Blog Article(s) that will be placed in queue and promoted by our members to the front page. The ideal of Blog Engage is to promote interaction between bloggers by “Engaging” with each others blogs. Interaction that builds up quality comments and interactive discussions.” – Brian

So you already post your content to Digg, StumbleUpon, Twitter, and Facebook, can another community really add value? I believe that BlogEngage can!

And here are the reasons why:

  1. There is a quality voting system set up that does not rank your new submissions according to the success of your old submissions.  This allows each blog submission the opportunity to succeed or fail on its on merit.  Giving you the author a good representation of what content is working and what is not.
  2. The community is very active and supportive.  This includes the BlogEngage community creator, Brian.
  3. The community is Free to join.
  4. BlogEngage has a revenue sharing system in place.  So for every submission you post to the BlogEngage community you have the potential for financial reward.

Do you use BlogEngage?  What advice would you give new BlogEngage members for success?

“If you’d like to talk about your Insurance Risk, contact me today. We can talk about your exposure, and begin our relationship!”

Thank you,

Ryan H.

  • BlogEngage is a great way to add an extra traffic stream to your blog, but more importantly, it is such a great opportunity for networking with fellow bloggers who are passionate about what they do. I've found the BE community to be great at getting involved with new BE members, commenting on their posts, tweeting and sharing, all great stuff.

Nice write up Ryan and I look forward to reading your future posts.
  • Karl, thank you for your comment. I agree with you. The engagement of members on BE makes it a fantastic community. I look forward to sharing with you!
  • Hi Ryan,

Don't think it'll be too difficult choosing the "Site Of 2009" at whatawebsite.org - do you ?!

    Very best ones
    Will
  • Brian has done an amazing job with Blog Engage... should be a runaway I think!
  • Many are the communities that are there but how will we know that these will really yield the results as we participate on them.
  • Communicate with other bloggers. Ask questions about their experience with different communities and find out which suit what you are trying to do. I wouldn't just talk to bloggers in your industry either. I would try to reach out to as many people as possible to find out where they spend the majority of their time.
  • Hi Ryan,
As you know I love Blog Engage and I'm a huge supporter. I was shy at first but once I got rolling I caught on pretty fast. Here is my advice to new members:

Read, comment, vote, repeat several times, then submit your best posts. Now that you have gained an enormous amount of knowledge (and you will if you're reading blog engage blogs) you can write some even better content.

Now just sit back an watch your stats grow and please don't forget me when you make it to the big time!

    Thanks Ryan!
  • Hi Ryan,

Thanks so much for the mention and promotion. I work hard to ensure our members earn while they support the community. We have story page ads (3 of them) that help you earn money. The revenues are all yours too. So when your article is indexed and starts generating revenues from us remember to tell your friends.

I’m so excited to see what the earnings are for our members. This is great stuff!

If I had to suggest anything it would be as follows,

    1. Get to know out members and engage with them.
    2. Socially comment on their blogs become friends.
    3. Look who's voting for you and vote back.

Remember promoting your blog anywhere else but blogengage perhaps might be a waste of time as you suggested. We are a do follow community with rev sharing how great is that?
  • Brian,

Your enthusiasm for BlogEngage and its members is what continues to drive me to the community. I hope more quality bloggers of all levels will join in the fun!
