As I type this I’m sitting in a hotel room in downtown Hartford, CT having just finished Day One of Week Two for the Travelers Commercial Lines Insurance School. The intense three-week course is designed to take experienced insurance producers to the next level of insurance expertise. For many of you this may sound about as fun as watching paint dry, but those who have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of quality insurance sales, (Shameless plug for myself as an Agent , no matter how true), the course has been a Matrix style download of critical insurance information.
For a little taste of what we’re doing on a daily basis: Today we read Commercial General Liability policy forms line-by-line. There are perils for which your business is exposed you would never imagine. Luckily, I now know where those gaps are and will help you protect your business (Either as a client or through this blog).
I am currently compiling a list of all the interesting facts that I’ve learned here which I hope will be immediately helpful to business owners. Sort of a “Super Cliff Notes for Producer School” if you will. So please check back tomorrow as I roll out the first set of Cliff Notes. Are there any specific Commercial Exposures for which you would like to see information?
