I do however think that your take on my post is grossly misguided.I completely disagree that FaceBook is a waste of time. Your facebook fan page is a great place to build a community where people interested in your business or industry can share experiences, questions, success or failure stories...People communicate through facebook. That is an undeniable fact. If you are in a people business, which insurance is, you have to be where people are. Thats it.Thanks,Ryan H.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Nobody on facebook is going to click on an insurance link, they are going to click on a link to a stupid video. I would suggest investigating how you are going to leverage all these fans you hope to get, and if it is worth the time and effort. Facebook is often a waste of time in many industries.

Ok, so you go and get 5000 facebook fans. So what? Therefore, it should be "ignoring Facebook as a social medium," not "a social media medium." That's like saying Facebook is a social platforms platform.
